· TYPE LOCALITY. "...in den Vorbergen des Altai zwischen Ustkamenogorsk und Ustbuchtarminsk am Irtisch". [Foothills of the Altai between Ust-Kamenogorsk and Ust-Bukhtarminsk, E. Kazakhstan].

· RANGE. From Hindu Kush and the W. Himalaya across Middle Asia and Kazakhstan to the S. Altai.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Saur and Tarbagatai, the S. Altai - the nominate subspecies; Dzhungarsky Alatau, Tian-Shan - ssp. hegesander Fruhstorfer, 1910; the W. Pamirs, Ghissar, S. Ghissar, Darvaz, Alai - ssp. nana Ruhl, 1895 (= kullmanni Wyatt et Omoto, 1966).

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Stony slopes with thin vegetation as well as mountain ridges at 1,000-3,700 m a.s.l. Flight period: June-August.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. Ch. enervata: UPF cell not white. Karanasa abramovi: UPH white band without basad directed projection; male UPF without androconial area.
