· TYPE LOCALITY. "Kojak near Chaman" [Baluchistan, Paki-stan].
· RANGE. Afghanistan, Pakistan, N. India, the W. Pamirs.
· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The W. Pamirs - the nomi-nate subspecies.
· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Shingle-stony or, more rarely, steppe-clad slopes near exposed rock at 2,000-3,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: July-August.
· SIMILAR SPECIES. H. davendra: larger; androconial area broad; genitalia different. H. brevistigma: androconial area broad and short, sometimes greatly reduced; genitalia diffe-rent.
